~ Install two PCIe-NVMe or PCIe-AHCI M.2 SSDs onto one PCIe 8-lane slot
~ Supports PCIe Gen3 M.2 NGFF 80mm, 60mm, 42mm SSD
~ Maximum throughput up to 80 Gbps
This Dual NVMe PCIe adapter allows installing two M2 NVMe SSDs onto on PCIe 8-lane slot. The two SSDs can be used as two individual drives or be combined to form RAID volume using the software RAID utility from the OS. When configured as a RAID 0 volume, the performance of the SSD is almost doubled. It is low cost solution for doubling the storage capacity and the performance of the NVMe SSD.
Samples of performance measurements by CrystalDiskMark
The RAID 0 in the test result below is software RAID created by the Windows 10 OS. The controller itself does not have built-in RAID function

*Note:
M2 NVMe or PCIe SSD is not the same as the M2 SATA SSD. M2 SATA SSD can be installed into this adapter but will not be operable. The M2 NVMe or PCIe SSD communicates via PCIe BUS and the data throughput depends on the speed of the M2 media and the PCIe BUS. A 4-Lane PCIe 1.0 slot has a maximum speed limit of 10 Gbps whereas a 4-Lane PCIe 3.0 slot supports a maximum speed of 40 Gbps.
